A signed, limited edition poster of a re-imagination of  West Africa in the 1850s, unaffected by colonialism.

100 cm wide, 70 cm tall, standard poster size, printed on 200g/sqm thick matte art paper.

South upwards, with Nsibidi symbols for Water (south), Desert (north), sunrise (east) and sunset (West).  This is an updated and zoomed-in version of the alternative history map "Alkebu-lan 1260 AH" I did in 2011. 

With more than 2 years of additional research, the ~230 Kingdoms, Emirates, khalifates and Chiefdoms, with just under 1000 cities, towns, villages and hamlets, mountains, different biomes, lakes and rivers, each with new beautiful patterns inspired by West African cloth and sculptures, this is my ultimate vision of the diversity and reach history of the region.
